Songwriter Sessions is a new monthly music series dedicated to the craft of songwriting. 3 different local and regional songwriters will perform each month in-the-round with the series' host, Lisa Martin, who has showcased her unique blend of folk, rock and country music, locally, regionally and in parts of the Midwest over the last few years. The recipient of several award nominations, Martin embraces the opportunity to host a series of this type as it is exciting for both the participants and the audience.

The series will showcase the talents of up and coming songwriters and show how diverse the songwriting process is. Each month, participating song-writers are assigned a theme chosen by the previous month's audience, and are required to write a song based on that theme for the show. The newly crafted songs are presented in round 3 of the night. Audiences will be intrigued by the different approaches taken by each songwriter and the final outcomes of the compositions.
